The pie charts give information about the proportion of different categories of energy used in Australian household and how they resulted in greenhouse gas emissions.

It can be clearly seen that in the first chart heating accounted for the highest percentage of energy in used, while cooling made up the lowest. Additionally, greenhouse gas emissions in Australia were caused mainly by wwater heating and other applicances.

Among all kinds of energy used, heating and water heating consituted much higher percentage than the others, at 42% of the former and 30% of the latter.Australian used a very small proportion of total energy consumed in refrigeration, lighting, and cooling, at 7%,4%,2% sequentially. Less than a fifth percentage of that figure was used by other appliacances.

However, water heating was the most effective factor which caused greenhouse gas emissions, making up 32%. Both heating and refrigation accounted for a similar percentage, at about less than a fifth percentage. The proportions of lighting and cooling were 8% and 3% in respective, much lower than that of other appliances at 28%.
